Graham Nash - We CAN Change the World

SO sorry for the long time since the last episode. Sometimes life gets in the way, which was the case here. The need to earn a living takes precedence over all else.

So, I recently started a new job. I'm producing The Jim DeFede Show, a new morning show at South Florida's Progressive Talk Station, AM 940. Since music radio in South Florida is so awful, this is the station I find myself listening to most of the time, so it made sense to go there.

I do participate on-air as well, and in my role on that show, I had the opportunity to interview Graham Nash a couple of days ago. He was in town for the Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young South Florida stop on the "Freedom of Speech '06" tour.

As I knew it would be, the interview was wonderful, so I thought I'd share it with you here. I hope you enjoy it!

Nicole -
Great to hear you are doing radio again! I fondly remember you from the 103.1 days in Santa Monica. When you were doing the morning show in the early/mid 90's, it was the absolutely best way to wake up!
I have never found a station that matched 103.1.
Hope you are well and that your daughter is too (I remember the long story on your getting her).
Keep on blogging & podcasting!

Laura,

Thanks! Although the radio I'm doing now isn't the type I was doing in LA, it's the next best thing. Talk radio allows me to get involved with the issues that really matter, and hopefully puts me in a position to make a difference.

Glad you found me!

Nicole- think the link for the Graham Nash interview is broken...looks like there's one too many "http://" when I mouse over the link.

Congrats on the OTHER new gig...saw it, reminded me to see whats new on your site...

Thanks for the heads-up Dan! The XML code was right, but I did add an extra http when linking to it...

It's fixed now. Thanks again!

Nicole,I was, like Laura, fortunate enough to have experienced the magic that FM radio can truly be when ministered by a person of your caliber and charisma! While you were at the helm at 103.1,I NEVER had to think about what station to tune in to! All my radios, car home etc were always set to 103.1. With excellent sounds emanating consistently.
The last thing I remember hearing about your situation was you were going to be streaming on the web ( whatever that was) sooner than anticipated due to the staion sale.
At any rate, keep up the good work, things will work out in the way they are supposed to be. God Bless you and yours!
sincerely, Randy
