It's on

John McCain has decided he will participate in tonight's debate, eventhough there's no deal on the bailout. I guess that would be considered a flip-flop, huh?

Read the story here.

I was thinking EXACTLY the same thing! how many times have the conservatives dragged out the tired old "flip-flop" tag, any time a Dem changes his/her mind? While normal human beings change their minds all the time, once given all the facts!

I believe studying and understanding history is the most important credential to being a world leader. I also believe that bullshit is much worse than lies. I recommend you read a very short book by Harry G. Frankfurt, entitled “On Bullshit”. He is a modern moral philosopher and Professor of Philosophy Emeritus at Princeton. He says, “When an honest man speaks, he says only what he believes to be true; and for the lair, it is correspondingly indispensible that he considers his statements to be false. For the bullshitter, however, all these bets are off; he is neither on the side of the true nor on the side of the false. His eye is not on the facts at all, as the eyes of the honest man and of the liar are, except insofar as they may be pertinent to his interest in getting away with what he says. He does not care whether the things he says describe reality correctly. He just picks them out, or makes them up, to suit his purpose…By virtue of this, bullshit is a greater enemy of the truth than lies are.” (Frankfurt 2005, pg 55-61)
Here’s some MAJOR BULLSHIT for you:

Listen to 1:59 to 2:07
“When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on television, and didn’t just talk about, you know, the princess of greed. He said look, this is what happened.”
FRANKLIN ROOSEVELT GOT ON TV IN 1929!!!!!!!
I wonder what you would be saying about Sarah Palin if she had said that. Would you it be the same thing you are saying about Biden, now?

anonymous (because you're apparently afraid to provide a name)

If you want to compare Biden's fudge over FDR and television to McCain's phony insistence that Iran is training Al Qaeda, then I welcome that discussion.

If you want to compare Biden's fudge over FDR and television over sarah Palin's insistence that "under God" in our Pledge of Allegiance was good enough for our founders, then that's good enough for me.

In foreign policy, I'll take Joe Biden over sarah Palin any day. Putin would devour Palin and drink puppy blood from her skull.

Bryan, if you believe courage is exemplified by writing under the name “Bryan in Miami” in a blog read by about 10 people, than you must be an idiot.
Are you claiming to be ignorant of the fact that Iranian terrorist are involved in Iraq? Are you saying that you are totally unaware of the founding fathers use of ceremonial reference to God?
Who cares what the Iranian terrorist planting IED’s on Iraqi roads call their organization. If the founding fathers placed included phrases of an almighty Creator in almost every single document they produced, then “under God” was good enough for them.
Joe Biden spoke about the wrong President using nonexistent technology about something he had nothing to do with. It would be like someone saying 100 years from now, “Ronald Reagan went on the internet to explain why he didn’t help the Bay of Pigs invasion right after it failed.”
If you want to discuss foreign policy, I will only say this: You support a man who said we made a mistake in invading Iraq because it caused us to fail in Afghanistan. He says our troops are needed to resolve the problem in one region at a time. However, he sees it fit to invade a third country (Pakistan) if he has reasonable intelligence. What a moron.
I’m sure you also think that the two other reasons for Iraq being a mistake are: They didn’t have weapons of mass destruction; there is no evidence that they were involved with 9/11. What would you say if Iran meets those two requirements and develops weapons grade uranium and gives us undisputable evidence of supporting terrorism, while things are still “out of control” in Afghanistan and/or Iraq? Should we do what Obama suggests and ignore their threat until things are “under control” in Afghanistan and/or Iraq, so we don’t get distracted?

Obama showed how stupid he really is when he said the answer to the Russian aggression on Georgia was an immediate UN Security Council Resolution. The moron doesn’t even know that Russia has veto power on that council making any immediate resolution against Russia impossible. That’s your candidate. LOL.
