Air America Radio - RIP, but Radio or Not lives on!

I'll have to really take some time to put together a fitting eulogy for the company who helped bring a progressive message to a country inundated with right wing propaganda.

But for now, I'm focused on getting through tonight's show. Yes, you heard right. I will do a live show tonight in my former 11pm-1am ET timeslot on Air America.  On the left hand side of the page you'll see a screen that will go live when the show begins at 11pm.

Today brought such bad news from the Supreme Court, and I spent all day putting together a show to help get the word out about what the ruling in Citizens United vs. the FEC means.

I'll be joined by John Bonifaz, legal director of Voter Action, and the director of the new campaign for a constitutional amendment to clarify that corporations are not people and the constitution doesn't give them rights under the first amendment, at www.freespeechforpeople.org.

I'll also speak with Congressman Alan Grayson (who's launched a website to help turn things around at www.savedemocracy.net) and Congresswoman Donna Edwards (who is introducing legislation for a constitutional amendment) about what happened today.  And we'll lighten things up a bit with my regular Thursday night guest John Fugelsang.

I hope you'll join me too.!

I'm sorry to hear about your Air America show going off the air. It was one of the view few bright spots left on its schedule.

Good luck in making new arrangements to stay on the air. I've already written KPOJ here in Portland, urging them to continue carrying you.

Like any good progressive/liberal, we may be down, but not out. Who knows what the future will bring, but I know one thing, this is the present and even with the failure of our nation after the SCOTUS passage of Citizens United vs. the FEC , Truth tellers must continue to spread the truth. And Nicole is doing that now. But unfortunately, it takes money. Money to pay for equipment, ISDN, microphones, monitors, computers, programs and so on. Also to keep a 10-year-old daughter healthy too. I did some of the grunt work, and all I need you folks to do is to contact these Made in the U.S. advertisers. Here are the sites:

Lets get it going and lets do it for Nicole! And lets do it for us

Another wakeup call for democrats/liberals/progressives. Put your money where your mouth is or all our gains go away.

I have to say I thought you were too hard on Obama and did a little too much self-damage (as far as politics) over the past year, but I'd much prefer to have you back on the air right now than not.

We are liberal Americans living in New Zealand. How horrified at recent events ie SC decision, Mass election, bank bailout, etc etc etc. Now no more Air America podcasts to keep us sane. Will you be offering a podcast of your show? Time differences prohibit us from listening to a live stream. Will happily donate our Air America Radio subscription if podcasts are going to be forthcoming.
