9-15-08 What a Monday, and Sarah Palin, part 2

Sarcastically speaking, what a great way to start off a new week. The cobra info came in the mail over the weekend. Continued coverage for me is $304 a month... for me and Alison it jumps to $760 a month! Unbelievable.

And, of course, you can't have a lapse in coverage, or you can't get future coverage for "pre-existing" conditions... This country should have universal health care, and everyone should have the cover

And this morning as I was watching the news, I saw scores of people exiting the Lehman Brothers headquarters in NY with boxes and bags of their personal belongings as, with their company declaring Chapter 11, they are now among the ranks of the unemployed too.

This country is seriously broken, thanks to George W. Bush and the NeoCons, and that people are actually even considering voting for John McCain boggles my mind.

Unemployment, foreclosures, bank failures -- these numbers are rising exponentially, due to the failed economic policies of this administration and the Republican Party, and people are stupid enough to fall for the Republican's bumper stickers slogans and their claims that they will bring change! Wake Up people.

And then there's Sarah Palin, who simply hasn't got a clue.

Today's Radio or Not musical selections come from R.E.M. "It's the End of the World" and Dramarama "Haven't Got a Clue."

REPLY to Ken Charles

Herb is more like it. Mr. Carlson if you are as truely clueless as you seem.

I have switched to NPR (WRLN 91.3) in the morning.

Still listen to Randi and Lionel in the afternoon.

Still looking for some legal folks to go after the 940 license.

Bob

Hey it is now WKRP in Miami. Krap radio. Get Imus off the air and get back to Progressive radio. It isn't the air personalities' job to sell commercials, it is yours. Just because you can't sell, you shouldn't dump on them.

By the way, My FCC License Number is PG-7-16138.

I watched the TV with my father-in-law today, as he stayed glued to CNBC, and mumbled under his breath, "I'm insured by AIG."

Anyone who still insists that the economy is fundamentally strong is just obviously unqualified to manage ANY government department that involves a budget.

At this point, if John McCain gets enough votes from lunatic evangelical voters and straight-down-the-line republicans, then this country will deserve what it gets. I will pack up my little belongings, and take my wife and kids to Canada.

Love you Nicole.

I need to jump in again and make a comment about McCain/Palin's crusade against earmarks.

Earmarks are a non-issue. Pork has never made up more than 1% of our federal budget. You could get rid of every earmark in the budget and it wouldn't make a dent. Republicans make an issue of it because it's easy to conceal, while making an issue of wasteful spending. that's why a guy like Ron Paul can rally for small government, but be among the most aggressive requesters of earmarks in congress.

But more importantly, they make earmarks an issue because they believe the American people are stupid enough to fall for it. And up to this point, they've been able to fool some of the people most of the time.

I don’t think it takes very much to boggle your mind, Nicole. It doesn’t bother you, at all that Obama’s rhetoric commits us in advance to American military force in the heartland of our deadliest enemies. If he is serious about taking action in the Afghan-Pakistan emerging confrontation, without sentiment to our Middle Eastern allies, he will lead us into more bitter and protracted war, NOT LESS!!!
Now, Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari says that Obama made his demand for delaying a US troop withdrawal a key theme of his discussions with Iraqi leaders in Baghdad in July. It seems that Obama wants to obtain plenty of military experience by waging and prolonging as much war as possible, if he becomes President.
You liberals are just too stupid to see that facts.

I knew it wouldn't take long for the babble to start. Here is a concerned citizen that couldn't find his way to say a word about the illegal wars the continuation in Iraq the economy that is falling out from underneath us with the DOW falling 500 points something that took terrorist when the World Trade Center Towers through negligence on thier watch. The brightest thing this person can come up with is how others are overreacting and Obama is going to go after the people finally that did take the towers down and kill over 3000 Americans and not rape and torture people illegally or lose more than 4,0000 Americans and kill a half a million innocent people to do it. He didn't bring up how in private meetings Dick Cheney was not only telling the lies they took to the public but stretching not facts but the truth further to make people join his war for oil and profit. All this person seems to know are the lines that he is given sitting in front of the tv with FOX on.

These people are very angry and afraid right now. They see that the control they've had over the masses for the past 25 years or so, through their lying tools, Savage, Limbough, O'Reilly, Hannity, etc., is finally coming to an end. Thanks to fact-based "progressives" like Randi, Thom, Rachel and Nicole AND the numerous websites, they can't "catapult" the propaganda like they used to, without the TRUTH being thrown right back at them. The Republican policies, domestic and foreign, are absolute failures. The stark truth is available, but only if someone wants to know it. D.R.

“Here is a concerned citizen that couldn't find his way to say a word about the illegal wars the continuation in Iraq…”-mikeemm. It didn’t take long for the babble, INDEED, mike. According to Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, Obama was trying to convince the Iraqi government NOT to end this “illegal” war, you moron.
Let see how intellectually honest you really are, here. If Obama becomes president, and we have another terrorist attack on US soil, do you guarantee that you will make the same “on his watch” argument against him? Or will you just blame Bush. Try reading UN resolutions 678, 687, and 1441 before you accuse the leaders of our country of engaging in illegal war. As usual for you credulous liberal simpletons: You either oversimplify, or have an elaborate conspiracy theory to make your case.
What do you say? Will you hold Obama responsible for any terrorist attack on US soil during his (God forbid) presidency? I didn’t think so, mike.
By the way, it’s spelled “their” not “thier”. Also, I don’t watch FOX. This only proves to me that you make statements about things you know nothing about.
